What is IP Transit?
IP Transit is a service that provides your network with access to the global Internet through an upstream provider. It gives you full or partial Internet routes via BGP, enabling you to send and receive data globally.

What is the difference between IX and IP Transit?
An Internet Exchange (IX) enables direct peering between networks for regional traffic exchange. IP Transit goes further—it provides access to all global networks, including those not reachable via IX, through one or more upstream Internet providers.

How does IP Transit differ from the BGP protocol?

In short, BGP is the mechanism, and IP Transit is the service.
