What is an ASN and do I need one to join CANIX?
An ASN (Autonomous System Number) is a unique ID that allows your network to exchange routes via BGP. You’ll need your own ASN to connect to CANIX or any IXP. You can request one from a Regional Internet Registry like ARIN.
